Position Summary

UNM’s Facilities Management has a new and exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a General Services Assistant. The qualified candidate will provide a diverse range of routine general services to support our Automotive Maintenance, Repair & Rental Center. He/she may perform clerical services, equipment operation, basic maintenance and repair, materials handling, custodial services, logistical support, routine security and/or customer services, and/or other work related duties.

Conditions of Employment
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge in various vehicle types and their operation
  • Previous experience as a driver
  • Current NM Driver’s License
  • Office skills: customer service and clerical/administration skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Automotive software, and UNM Kronos.
