Position Summary

The University of New Mexico Athletics Department, a Division I Mountain West Institution, seeks a Head Coach to direct, oversee and manage all aspects of the Women’s Tennis program. Duties will include, but are not limited, to the following:

· Court coaching

· Personal, academic, and athletic development of student athletes

· Recruiting and retaining student athletes in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations

· Planning and management of team practice

· Match scheduling

· Representing Women and Men’s Tennis to various institutional programs and externally to include students, parents, media, and the general public

· Youth Tennis Camp administration

  • Compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required in this position.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; minimum directly related experience requirement is determined by the VP for Athletics.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level

Demonstrated experience and track record in recruiting and player development

Collegiate playing experience
