Position Summary | Under the general supervision of thePrincipal Investigator (PI), Dr. Ludmila Bakhireva, and the ResearchScientist 3, the incumbent will be involved in recruitment of researchparticipants for the clinical studies conducted by the College of PharmacySubstance Use Research and Education Center at UNM. Ongoingclinical studies focus primarily on pregnant women and children and require theincumbent to be comfortable working with vulnerable populations. Theincumbent will work closely with prenatal care clinics to recruit patients forclinical studies and administer structured interviews for Spanish- andEnglish-speaking pregnant patients enrolled in the study. This position will require travel to off-site clinics inthe greater Albuquerque area. Occasional travel to off-site clinics outsideof the greater Albuquerque area may be required. The incumbent will alsocoordinate study-related procedures, including data entry andcollection/processing of biological specimens. He/she/they will work closelywith co-investigators, laboratory personnel, and hospital personnel. This position will require rotated weekend andevening coverage of research activities within a 40-hour work week. Mustpossess a current valid Driver’s License and their own vehicle or the abilityto drive a University vehicle, as the position requires travel to off-siteclinics in the greater Albuquerque area and surrounding communities. Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of directly related student practicum or equivalent experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
