|Working Title||Instructional Assistant - Cinematic Arts|
The Department of Cinematic Arts part-time, on-call Instructional Assistants work a maximum of ten hours per week in Media Arts and/or IFDM courses. Successful candidates will evidence having solid knowledge of film history, criticism, and theory. Duties include such tasks as assisting with class preparation and commenting upon students' homework, quizzes, and exams in some courses, or providing technical assistance in others. Serving as a writing or film-making mentor, the IA may also employ experience in the cinematic arts to enhance student learning in small group discussions.
NOTE: This position is NOT represented by the labor union CWA's Collective Bargaining Agreement due to the FTE amount.
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
