|Position Summary||The University of New Mexico invites applications as it seeks a dynamic career individual for the position of Career Development Facilitator I - Internship Coordinator for Career Services. UNM Career Services supports the mission, academic programs, and advancement of the University of New Mexico. |
Under general supervision, the Internship Coordinator will assist with all aspects of internship development. Tasks may include working with employer partners on developing internship programs, helping track university-wide internships, assist with our cooperative education program, developing and maintaining a robust internship database within Handshake (our current job and internship database), and track, post and market internships. This position may also meet with students on internships and provide general career development assistance. Position may provide walk-in hours to students as needed.
In addition, this position will manage the AFRL/Sandia STEM Mentoring program in collaboration with the STEM Collaborative. This position will also work up to 15 hours onsite with the National Security Studies program (NSSP) in identifying, tracking and promoting internships in federal, state and local companies in STEM and national security areas of interest as well as website management. They will also assist NSSP on special events serving students.

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
