|Working Title||IT Support Tech 1|
The University of New Mexico Information Technologies seeks an IT Support Tech 1 to play an integral role as part of the UNM Institutional Support Services (ISS) technology support team.
The incumbent will be a primary point of contact to help triage and escalate service requests for employees and customers in a number of ISS departments. This position will also play an integral role in computer deployment and maintenance projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with a range of PC/tablet/point of sale systems, a thorough understanding of IT service management principals and exceptional communication skills.
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
- Experience managing and broad range of service requests and providing front-line/triage support for a range of devices that often run specialized software
- Experience using centralized service management/support systems
- Experience providing technical support and general guidance for systems used in standards-based IT organizations
- Experience working in educational institutions as an Information Technology professional
