Position Summary

The University of New Mexico Information Technologies seeks an IT Support Tech 2 for UNM Gallup IT to play an integral role in the IT support operations of the UNM Gallup campus.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft and/or Mac OS software and services along with experience support common software products like the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Cloud. A combination of strong technical, communication and organizations; along with problem solving and strong customer service skills are essential.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

- Demonstrable understanding of automated computer configuration and management concepts and strategies
-Experience with Microsoft Active Directory based services including: centralized file share/printer management and automated system/application update solutions
-Ability to analyze complex computer problems from a centralized and user perspective and provide documented solutions.
-Experience operating and maintaining audio visual equipment in a classroom environment.
-Experience communicating technical solutions to non-technical people both verbally and in writing.
-Experience using centralized service management/support systems
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
