Position Summary

UNM Health Sciences Center (HSC) Chief Information Office (CIO) is looking for a full-time experienced IT Support Tech 3 within the Technology Support group to provide desktop support for windows and apple devices. This position will participate in the development of enterprise imaging for apple devices, account management and IT service management projects.

The Technology Support his group is also responsible providing remote and on-site technical support. The group provides workstation repair, workstation image management, encryption services, call management services, some server troubleshooting and repair, account management services, and maintains current documentation.

Candidates with experience with ticketing systems, desktop support, ITIL certification, and working in a multi-team, multi-department organization preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Apple OSX system configuration and management.
  • Experience with troubleshooting workstations
  • Experience working with IT Service Management Toolkits
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
  • Experience participating in inter-departmental Projects
  • Experience working in a cooperative team environment
