Working TitleLaw Certificate Programs Coordinator

Position Summary

The Law & Indigenous PeoplesProgram and the Natural Resources & Environmental Law Program at the UNMSchool of Law seek a Law Certificate Programs Coordinator. This position willsupport and serve as the administrative lead for both certificate programs.Main duties include: working with program directors and faculty to inform andadvise students on how to meet certificate requirements; staffing programmeetings; planning and implementing program events; developing and updating weband print materials; administering program budgets; developing and maintainingprogram mailing lists and communications; faculty support for certificatedirectors; presenting program information at online and in-person events; maintainingand updating social media accounts and creating content; and supporting relatedstudent journals as needed.

  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience advising college/graduatestudents
  • Experience working in Nativecommunities:
    • Experienceworking with Native college/graduate students
    • Interestin areas of Indian Law/Tribal Courts/Community Tribal Development
  • Knowledge of and/or interest innatural resources and environmental issues
  • Experiencewith LoboMart or Banner Purchasing
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excelsoftware
  • Proficiency in calendaring softwaresuch as Outlook
  • Proficiency in using archivalsoftware for documents such as Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills
  • Experience presenting in bothonline and in-person environments
  • Experience managing social mediaaccounts and creating content
  • Strong organizational skills
