The University of New Mexico Gallup(UNM Gallup) is one of four branch community colleges of the University andserves approximately 2,500 students. Located near the Navajo, Zuni, and HopiReservations, this campus has one of the largest percentage Native Americanstudent body of any public university campus in the world. UNM Gallup is fullyaccredited by the Higher Learning Commission, offering Associate degrees andCareer Technical certificate programs, adult basic education (ABE and GED),workforce training, and personal enrichment courses. There are approximately 61part-time and 67 full-time faculty members.
The UNM Gallup Education, Health andHuman Services Division invites applications for a Lecturer, I, II or III(depending on education and experience) Health Information & Technology(HIT) Program Coordinator.
Duties are effective teaching of up to fifteen credit hoursor the equivalent per semester of college-level HIT courses, coordinate the HITProgram, maintain accreditation status, participate in campus committees and activities,assist in curriculum decisions, maintain advisory committee and cooperativerelationship with area health care institutes for program input andinternships, and perform other duties consistent with the role of a communitycollege faculty member.
