Position Summary


TheCollege of Pharmacy at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Centerinvites applications for a full-time 12-month Lecturer III of Pharmacy facultyposition in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The successfulcandidates’ responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, thefollowing: provide instruction and course administration in the undergraduate(Pharmaceutical Sciences) and the foundational sciences within the professional(Doctor of Pharmacy) programs. Specific instructional areas includepharmaceutical calculations, basic pharmacology, antibacterialchemotherapeutics, and neurology/psychiatry. Additional responsibilitiesinclude service on University, College, and/or Department committees tocontribute to the vision, mission, and strategic plan of the College. Theindividual will be expected to collaborate with faculty and staff and share theUniversity and College's values.

TheDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program at The University of New Mexico (UNM)College of Pharmacy is a dynamic, student-centered professional programdedicated to preparing future pharmacists to be innovative, compassionate, andpractice-ready leaders in healthcare. Qualifications

MinimumQualifications

  • PhD or equivalent in Pharmacology or closely related discipline in biomedical or health sciences relevant to the pharmacy curriculum.
  • Experience teaching in a relevant academic environment to diverse groups of students.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

PreferredQualifications

  • Experience in developing course content.
  • Experience in course management.
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
