Position Summary |
The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program at The University of New Mexico(UNM) College of Pharmacy is a dynamic, student-centered professional programdedicated to preparing future pharmacists to be innovative, compassionate, andpractice-ready leaders in healthcare. Located within the UNM Health SciencesCenter-the only academic health center in the state-our program providesstudents with exceptional opportunities for interprofessional education,clinical training, and research collaboration. Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE),the UNM PharmD curriculum emphasizes a strong foundation in biomedical andpharmaceutical sciences, integrated with progressive pharmacy practiceexperiences across urban and rural healthcare settings. Our diverse faculty arenationally recognized educators, researchers, and practitioners committed tostudent success and community engagement. Through unique clinical partnerships,including the Indian Health Service, community pharmacies, and major healthsystems, our students gain hands-on experience addressing health disparitiesand improving outcomes for under served populations. The program fosters a supportive and inclusive environment wherestudents develop the knowledge, skills, and cultural competence necessary tothrive in evolving pharmacy roles.
