The College of Pharmacy at the University of New Mexico Health SciencesCenter invites applications for a full-time 12-month Lecturer III of Pharmacyfaculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and AdministrativeSciences. The successful candidate will provide instruction and courseadministration in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Specific courses may includepharmacy law and ethics, communications, pharmacy administration, communitypharmacy, and Aspects of Patient Care labs. Service on University, College,and/or Department committees to contribute to the College’s vision, mission,and strategic plan is also expected of the College. The individual will beexpected to collaborate with faculty and staff and share the University andCollege's values.

The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program at The University of New Mexico(UNM) College of Pharmacy is a dynamic, student-centered professional programdedicated to preparing future pharmacists to be innovative, compassionate, andpractice-ready leaders in healthcare. Located within the UNM Health SciencesCenter-the only academic health center in the state-our program providesstudents with exceptional opportunities for interprofessional education,clinical training, and research collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• 5 years or more of teaching experience in a pharmacy didactic and/orexperiential education
• Familiarity with contemporary pharmacy practice
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrates engaging teaching style that incorporates active learning.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and foster student self-directedlearning and professional skills necessary for successful practice
• Experience facilitating professional growth and ability to modelprofessionalism for others effectively.
• A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and studentsuccess, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
