|Position Summary||The University of New Mexico, School of Engineering, Department ofComputer Science invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track positionat the level of Lecturer II (MS) or Lecturer III (PhD). The department is committed to excellence inboth undergraduate and graduate education, with an ABET-accredited B.S. degreeprogram in computer science, as well as M.S. and Ph.D. programs involvingstudents in leading edge research.|
Candidates must have completed anMS or PhD in CS or related by August 15, 2020. The successful candidate shouldhave a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching, proventeaching skills in undergraduate education and the ability to teach CS coursesin areas of departmental need, and have a broadly demonstrated commitment todiversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as with broadlydiverse communities.
TheDepartment has seventeen tenure-track faculty with research expenditures over$3.6M per year, through grants from agencies including NSF, NIH, DARPA, ARO,NASA, and DOE. We are a collegial and friendly department at an exciting stageof growth. We enjoy strong research collaborations with the Santa Fe Instituteand with Sandia and Los Alamos National Laboratories. Our faculty push theboundaries of interdisciplinary research through numerous collaborations withother UNM schools, departments, and research centers.
