The UNM-Gallup Branch, Zollinger Library, is looking for a part time Library Information Specialist 1 to assist in providing quality service to the students, faculty, and community at large. The position encompasses a variety of areas of responsibility in regards to general library operations as well as assistance with the online environment. Under limited supervision, the Library Information Specialist 1 will perform library tasks related to circulation of library materials, assistance in the library computer lab, preparing flyers and/or signs for library communications, providing basic information about the library and its resources, and explanation of and adherence to library policies.
The successful candidate will support the other library staff and librarians as needed, cover the circulation desk, monitor the activities of students, performing routine library duties and opening and closing the library on Saturdays and closing the library on week nights. This variety of duties and responsibilities makes for an exciting position.
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Customer services experience.
