Position Summary

Parking and Transportation Services (PATS) at the University of New Mexico is searching for a Marketing Rep, Sr. to join a team of customer-oriented professionals dedicated to providing access to the
university through a variety of parking and transportation services that consider the needs of each customer while supporting the university’s mission.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to hit the ground running. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, as the person in this position will write press releases, mass email communications, website and social media updates. The individual in this position will manage and guide the departments marketing assistant in creating valuable, relevant and educational content for our customers and university community.

This individual will also need to be a great team player, as they will be part of the PATS management team. Since this position will respond to last-minute needs of the UNM community, such as notifications of events taking place on and around campus, this individual needs to be flexible, able to prioritize, and shift gears quickly.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Conceptualize, design and produce marketing material for events, such as permit sales

Design, maintain and edit website content: creation, Google Analytics, ensuring that the information and links function correctly on PATS’ website

Assist in planning, coordination and working special events

Write, edits and manage social media content

Create online forms

Create and distribute data analysis of large scale customer communication campaigns

Effectively communicate information about the UNM campus, including its parking rules, regulations, and locations to students, staff, faculty, and visitors. Will present information at orientations

Manage, order and stock promotional products

As well as other required duties

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advance skills in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency in Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Experience with web content management system, CMS
  • Social media marketing experience
  • Customer Service
  • Experience with public speaking
  • Advance knowledge with Microsoft suite
  • Ability to use both PC and Mac
  • Editing/Proofing
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong team player
  • Familiarity with UNM branding standards
