Position Summary

The Office ofCommunications & Marketing (OCM) at The University of New Mexico College ofEducation & Human Sciences (COEHS) has an exciting opportunity for adynamic creative who has a passion for education and a commitment and talentfor visual storytelling and in-house creative team operations support. Underdirect supervision of the COEHS Communications & Marketing Manager, theMarketing Rep providesdirect support to the OCM manager. Duties and responsibilities for the positioninclude but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinating and executing video shoots for oral histories and departmental video needs.
  • Performs and oversees design and production of print and digital collateral
  • Social media platform schedule management
  • Workload distribution of student employees
  • Building and maintaining an archive of Standard Operating Procedures, creative assets, working files, and other resources for the office
  • Maintaining and generating reports from data collected via workflow
  • Maintenance of COEHS digital display content and schedule
  • Provides secondary event material support (programs, signs, name tags, creative etc.)
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign; Photoshop; Illustrator, Lightroom, Premier
  • Knowledgeable and trained in UNM Brand & Visual Identity policies and styles
  • Significant experience working in higher education, particularly with in-house agency support of a college of education
  • Demonstrated skills and talents in multi-channel graphic design
  • Demonstrates a passion for marketing and a desire to build a career in marketing for higher education
  • Experience in managing email-based marketing efforts and email design
  • Experience in MS Teams Workflow management
