|Working Title||Med Lab Tech|
Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) is a comprehensive health service available to all currently enrolled UNM students. SHAC is located North of Johnson Center and across from the Student Union Building. It is open Monday through Friday, and is closed on all UNM holidays. Services include medical appointments (scheduled and same-day), pharmacy, women's and men's health, allergy and immunization, medical specialty clinics, physical therapy, lab and x-ray, travel health clinic and counseling services, as well as health education and prevention. Under general supervision, performs routine tests in medical laboratory to provide data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, ensuring validity and accuracy of test results.
|Conditions of Employment|
Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours including 6 semester hours of Biology and 6 semester hours of Chemistry.Certification/LicensureCLA (ASCP) certification, OR completion of accredited MLT program or military med lab training course, OR 3 years of acceptable clinical lab experience. ORMLT Certification.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
In addition to education, work experience highly desirable.
