|Working Title||Mgr,Facility Operations|
The University of New Mexico Valencia Campus is seeking a Manager of Facility Operations who reports directly to the Director of Business Operations and will work under limited supervision, managing all aspects of the integrated facility operations and services. Oversees the supervision of a multi-trades workforce engaged in activities associated with the plant operations, maintenance, and housekeeping. Administrative duties including fiscal management of departmental budget, purchasing equipment and supplies. Analyzes financial data and prepares reports and projections. Maintaining/troubleshooting/repairing large enterprise mechanical systems. Management of custodial services and procedures, equipment, supplies, and techniques. Grounds Maintenance including operation of equipment. Automotive services, maintaining/troubleshooting/repairing fleet maintenance. Capital projects oversight including construction/contractor liaison, coordinating/supervising independent contractors. Knowledge of/with contract documents and specifications, building trades repairs, and maintenance.
Knowledge of all federal, state, and local codes and ordinances pertinent to facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance of emergency/disaster/recovery plans. Ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures; skilled in developing safety procedures/protocols. Supervisory duties to include training assigned staff, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Knowledge of employee labor union and contracts.
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
