| Position Summary | The UNM Health Sciences Marketing and Communications Department islooking for a dynamic and creative visual storyteller who is excited to createcompelling visual content that showcases our mission of improving health and advancingdiscovery. This position produces photography and video that tell authenticstories of patient care, research, education, and community impact. Reportingto the Director of Communications for the UNM Health Sciences Center, the selectedcandidate will work in a team setting, often paired with a writer to createcontent collaboratively. This position often works with executive and seniorleadership, as well as frontline health care staff, and health sciences facultyand researchers. Key responsibilities include: o Capture high-quality photographyand video for use across news media, digital, print, and social platforms,including portraits, events, clinical environments, facilities, and researchsettings. o Edit and produce videocontent using the Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, and related tools tocreate finished pieces that align with institutional brand and messagingstandards. o Collaborate withcommunications staff, clinicians, and leadership to plan and execute shootsthat support strategic storytelling goals. o Maintain visual brand consistencyacross all assets, ensuring that photos and videos accurately represent theinstitution’s values, missions, and professionalism. o Ensure all photography andvideo comply with HIPAA, consent, and privacy regulations, particularly whenfeaturing patients or clinical activity. o Support live event coverage,livestreams, and other special projects as needed. | Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
| Preferred Qualifications | • At least 5 years ofvideographer/photographer/editor experience • Deep knowledge of AdobeCreative Suite and After Effects • Ability to create motiongraphics • Project management skills: ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. • Experience working in highereducation •Experience working in a health care setting |
