Position Summary | TheUniversity of New Mexico Student Health & Counseling clinic (SHAC) isrecruiting for a knowledgeable, detail-oriented Nurse Manager to manages the day-to-day nursing operations of a specified clinical area, including coordination of patient care, supervision of a professional team which includes multiple nursing staff and other staff as appropriate, administrative and budget management, and troubleshooting of problem areas. Ensures adherence to hospital or department and university policies and to nursing procedures, standards, and practices. See 'Qualifications' section below for more specifics on preferred experience for this position. TheStudent Health & Counseling Center is located at the center of campus. Theclinic provides comprehensive primary and mental health services and has alaboratory, x-ray, pharmacy, physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, casemanagement, and health promotions on site. Minimum Qualifications | Associate's degree in Nursing or directly related field/discipline; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Certification/LicensureState of New Mexico Licensed Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the multistate privilege to practice compact with New Mexico. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
