Position Summary
The Departmentof Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of New Mexico HealthSciences is seeking an attending psychiatrist for our Division of BehavioralHealth Consultation and Integration, suitable for appointment at the rank ofAssistant, Associate or full Professor.  The successful candidate can take fulladvantage of opportunities available in our vibrant and active academiccommunity.

As an attendingpsychiatrist in the UNM Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences’Behavioral Health Consultation and Integration Division, the person selectedwill have a voice in developing the Division’s direction as well asopportunities for multicultural clinical care and scholarly and collaborativeresearch activities across the Health Sciences campus.  There are many opportunities for professionaldevelopment in leadership, administration, and education, including mentoringand supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees inrelated disciplines.

We are eager toput together the right package for an individual with a passion forconsultation liaison psychiatry.  Salaryis commensurate with experience and academic background.
Qualifications


MinimumQualifications:

  • DoctorateDegree, MD or equivalent;
  • Board certifiedor eligible in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry or completion of Women’s MentalHealth/Reproductive Psychiatry Fellowship training;
  • ConsultationLiaison or Reproductive Psychiatry clinical experience, minimum 1 year;
  • Licensable inNew Mexico;
  • Must beeligible to work in the United States.

PreferredQualifications:

  • Teachingexperience with graduate students, fellows, residents and/or medical students;
  • Clinicalleadership experience in an academic setting.
  • A demonstratedcommitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of NewMexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and globalcommunities.
