Open Rank Lecturer of Pathology, Medical Laboratory Sciences - req# 31267

TheMedical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) Program in the Department of Pathology at theUniversity of New Mexico Health Sciences Center seeks applications for afull-time, 12-month faculty position. Thesuccessful candidate will inspire learners, primarily in ClinicalImmunohematology, Clinical Serology and Clinical Management and Education, aswell as other teaching opportunities that may come their way. Courses are taught on-campus, online, and/orhybrid formats. Other exciting aspectsof this position including creating and contributing to course curriculum,student advisement, recruitment, and collaboration with affiliated clinicalrotation sites. The candidate will be aparticipant on the UNM MLS Advisory Committee to shape our communityinvolvement. This is a perfect positionfor someone who is stimulated by learners and supportive of the MedicalLaboratory Sciences profession. Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in MLS orrelated field
• ASCP Certification (or equivalent)
• Three years of clinical laboratoryexperience in Clinical Immunohematology
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications:

• More than 3 years ClinicalImmunohematology experience
• Specialist in Blood Banking and/oradditional technologist/scientist certification from the ASCP
• Teaching/Trainer experience inClinical Immunohematology, Serology, Clinical Management and/or another medicallaboratory discipline
• Experience developing teaching andassessment materials
• Expertise in developing andmaintaining courses remotely and/or in-person
• Documented evidence of on-goingprofessional development and proof of continuing education
• Master’s degree in MLS/CLS orrelated field
• Supervisory experience
• Demonstrated commitment todiversity, equity, and inclusion, and student success, as well as working withbroadly diverse communities
