Position Summary | The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of New Mexico invites applications for a full-time (9 month) Lecturer II or Lecturer III to be the undergraduate laboratory supervisor in support of our introductory physics and astronomy classes. Responsibilities include supervising graduate student assistants teaching in laboratory sections; managing, maintaining, and developing laboratory and lecture demonstration equipment and pedagogical material; and supervision of a lecture demonstration assistant. Occasional teaching of lower-division undergraduate physics or astronomy lecture courses is also expected. Rank and salary will be commensurate with education and experience. The expected start date is August 10, 2020 with classes beginning on August 17, 2020.
