PLEASE NOTE: This position is for the UNM Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM, approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque, NM.

The University of New Mexico-Gallup invites applications for a Nursing Lecturerposition. We are one of four branch community colleges of the University of NewMexico and serve approximately 2200 students. Located in Gallup NM, approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque,UNM-Gallup is situated in the Four Corners region and near the Navajo Nation,Zuni Pueblo and Hopi Reservation. Thecity of Gallup has a population of 22,000 and the surrounding areas provide anabundance of outdoor recreational activities, various museums and extraordinarycultural vibrancy, while maintaining a small-town feel.

UNM-Gallup serves a hugely diverse student population with 100+ fulltime and part-time faculty members. Weare fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission offering Associatedegrees, selected Bachelor’s degrees, Career Technical Education certificateprograms, and adult basic education (ABE/GED), workforce training and personalenrichment courses. UNM-Gallup servesmultiple high school populations including McKinley Academy, Middle CollegeHigh School and the Center for Career and Technical Education.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach the standard courseload for a Lecturer in the area of Nursing and Health Careers, maintain anactive service record (as defined by the UA-UNM CBA), participate in monthlyDivision meetings and execute other relevant duties as agreed upon inconjunction with the division chair in an annual faculty-chair agreement. In addition, the selected candidate will beexpected to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusionthrough actively practicing inclusive behavior and proactively managing bias.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Terminal degree in Nursing or other related field
• Two or more years clinical nursing experience
• Experience teaching adults at the college level
• Demonstrated ability to work with groups in a collaborative atmosphere
• Additional experience in specialties, such as medical/surgical, ICU, ER, pediatric, obstetric and/or psychiatric nursing
• A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
