The University of New Mexico Gallup (UNM Gallup) is one of four branch communitycolleges of the University and serves approximately 2,000 students. Locatednear the Navajo, Zuni, and Hopi Reservations, this campus has one of thelargest percentage Native American student body of any public university campusin the world. UNM Gallup is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission,offering Associate degrees and Career Technical certificate programs, adultbasic education (ABE and GED), workforce training, and personal enrichmentcourses. There are approximately 57 part-time and 54 full-time faculty members.
The UNM Gallup Branch, Nursing Department, invites applications for a full-time nine (9) monthfaculty position in Nursing as an Assistant, Associate, or Professor (depending onqualifications) appointment on tenure track. Applicant must beprepared to teach fifteen (15) credit hours or the equivalent per semester in skillslab and clinical settings as well as duties such as scheduling and coordinatingclinical experiences program wide. Duties include developmentand evaluation of curricula, accreditation preparation, maintaining scheduledoffice hours, attendance at faculty and departmental meetings, participation incampus committees and performance of other duties consistent with the role of acommunity college faculty member. The selected candidate will have astrong commitment to teaching, scholarly activities and professional service aswell as experience in community coordination and outreach.
