The University of New Mexico (UNM) School of Medicine Department of Dermatology seeks qualified individuals for a full-time faculty position as an academic Pediatric Dermatologist in an innovative group environment. Our department serves a large, medically complex population and is a consultative resource for the State of New Mexico and the Four Corners region of the Southwest. The Department provides many services including: general and pediatric dermatology, photothereapy, laser, dermatologic/Mohs surgery and aesthetic services. We have a strong partnership with both Dermatopathology and community physicians. Responsibilities include specialized pediatric outpatient dermatology, inpatient hospital consultations and teledermatology. Opportunities for outpatient surgery in the Pediatric Operating Room and clinical research are available.
The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is the largest academic health complex in the state. Located on the University of New Mexico campus in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico, the HSC combines its four mission areas - educations, research, patient care and community outreach - to provide New Mexicans with the highest level of health care. UNM has a very strong Pediatrics Department/training program and Children's services cover the entire breadth of expected domains including academic primary care and specialty services; our affiliation with these services is longstanding.
