Position Summary

The University of New Mexico (UNM) School of MedicineDepartment of Dermatology seeks a skilled General Dermatologist who brings newideas and thrives in an innovative team environment. Our department serves alarge, medically complex population and functions as the consultation sourcefor the entire state of New Mexico. We provide general and pediatricdermatology, phototherapy, laser, dermatologic surgery/Mohs and aestheticservices. We have a strong partnership with dermatopathology, communitydermatologists and colleagues at UNM. Responsibilities include: outpatientdermatology and weekend/call coverage for inpatient dermatology shared with theentire team.

The UNM Health Sciences Center (HSC) is the only academichealth complex in the state and is located on the UNM campus in beautifulAlbuquerque, New Mexico. The UNM HSC prioritizes resources to its four missionareas - Education, Research, Patient Care and Community Outreach - to provideNew Mexicans with the highest level of health care. This also providesopportunity for transdisciplinary scholarship and research with collaborationsfrom Main Campus Scholars, Law School, School of Population Health, and robustcommunity organizations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor or equivalent
  • Board eligible/certified in Dermatology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in NM
  • Eligible for State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification and federal DEA registration
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
