Position Summary

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center seeks a faculty member to join the Division of Cardiology. This position is Open rank and Open track. The successful candidate will hold patient care to its highest standard and, as a member of New Mexico’s only academic medical center, will actively participate in research and fellow education. Salary and rank will commensurate with experience and education.

The north central New Mexico/Albuquerque area is a unique and stunning place in which to live and recreate and has a diversity of climate, geography, and population that defies easy description. The city itself sits at the base of Sandia Mountains along the Rio Grande Valley just south of Santa Fe.

Qualifications

Minimum qualification:

  • Board certified/board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease by date of hire; and
  • Board certification/board eligible in Echocardiography;
  • Eligible to work in the United States (this is not a J1 Visa opportunity).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership skills in coordinating in-patient and out-patient care;

  • Experience/interest with broad spectrum of cardiovascular disease;

  • Teaching experience at all levels of training.
