The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center,Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine orPreventive Medicine-trained physicians to join our expanding outpatient facultygroup in Albuquerque, NM. UNM HSC is the only academic medical center and theprimary teaching hospital in New Mexico, providing care for over 200,000patients annually and serving as the state's only Level I trauma center.

This position focuses on providing high-quality,evidence-based primary care to a dedicated patient panel while also supervisingInternal Medicine residents during their continuity clinic experience. Ourcommunity clinics are Level III NCQA-recognized Patient-Centered Medical Homes,offering comprehensive primary care with integrated clinical pharmacists,behavioral health support, and care management teams.

In addition to clinical duties, candidates will havededicated time for medical student education and opportunities for advancementin leadership across academic and administrative roles.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Internal Medicine or Preventative Medicine by date of hire;
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or interest in providing evidence- based primary care including and not limited to: complex chronic disease management, prevention, wellness, and lifestyle medicine.
• Experience or interest in teaching residents and medical students;
• Experience or interest in caring for underserved populations;
• Experience or interest in developing quality improvement projects.
