Position Summary

The University of New Mexico, Health SciencesCenter, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligiblefaculty member to join the Division of Rheumatology. The Division of Rheumatology activelyparticipates in teaching of medical students, residents in multiplespecialties, and a fellowship program.

Thisposition is an open rank Professor and Clinician Educator track. Salary and rank will be commensurate withexperience and education.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be Board certified in Internal Medicine
  • Must be Board certified/board eligible in Rheumatologywithin 6 months of hire
  • Successful completion of a RheumatologyFellowship
  • Must be eligible to work in US
  • Must be eligible for a medical license in theState of New Mexico

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of clinical experience/interest in clinicalservice
  • Experience/interest in education
  • Evidence of Rheumatology publications
  • Demonstration of excellent teaching ability
  • Experience or recognition of the rheumatologicneeds of the diverse State of New Mexico and the rural Southwest
  • Evidence of experience of research in Rheumatology
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity,inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diversecommunities
