Position Summary

The University of New MexicoDepartment of Neurology seeks a boardcertified/board eligible Neurologist to join our MultipleSclerosis/Neuroimmunology team. The MS faculty will be part of a careteam that manages MS, NMO, and other neuroimmune disorders in the outpatientclinic. The MS division is staffed with a full time RN, MA, PA, PharmD, Pharmtech and patient care coordinator to support patients and faculty.

We have a robust clinical trialsprogram and are currently enrolling in several cutting-edge clinical trials forMS drugs. FTE is offered to interested faculty and we have full time studycoordinator support. FTE is also available to do independent research inneuroimaging, immunology, epidemiology, genetics or other areas of interest. Asan academic institution, additional FTE may be available for faculty interestedin additional leadership and teaching responsibilities.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD Degree or equivalent
  • Board certified/board eligible in Neurology
  • Eligible for Medical licensure in the state of New Mexico
  • Completed one year of Neuroimmunology fellowship trainingprior to start date
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of clinical experience managing MS patients
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion,student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
