Position Summary

The Department of Neurology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking a full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist for the Open Rank faculty positions in Neurology.

  • General Neurology
  • Neuro-Hospitalist

The successful candidates will join faculty in providing patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Clinical responsibilities include patient care and supervision of residents and advanced practice providers. Academic responsibilities include participation in teaching of graduate medical students and research activities of the department.

UNM Hospital is the tertiary care center for the State and the only Level 1 Trauma Center and Burn Center in New Mexico. The Department has 26 full-time and part-time attending physicians and is home to well-established Residency and Fellowship programs.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • MD or DO Degree
  • Board certified or board eligible in Neurology
  • Must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Mexico
  • Completion of one year in Internal Medicine
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong clinical skills in neurological care
