UNM School of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery is an academic-affiliated medical center that is seeking a physician to become part of the Neurosurgery team. With a catchment population of over 800,000 and very little competition, the area has a very strong need for neurosurgery and PM&R services. The hospital is a 556-bed, Level 1 trauma center serving the entire state. The hospital/group is supported by a renowned academic neurosurgery program offering opportunities in collaborative research and other academic activities. Applicants with interests in general neurosurgery, spine and trauma, are all welcome and will be well-supported. The University of New Mexico Hospital is very stable with a supportive hospital administration. The hospital and department offices are in the heart of Albuquerque with the beautiful Sandia and Manzano Mountains overlooking the valley.
