|Position Summary||The University of New Mexico, College of Nursing is seeking applicants for a tenured associate or full professor. The successful applicant will be an outstanding independent scholar in public health and emergency preparedness as demonstrated by federal funding and publications in peer-reviewed journals. Candidates should have academic credentials sufficient to meet tenure eligibility requirements. |
Applicants for this tenured faculty position will help grow transdisciplinary public health research, service and education, as well as, collaboration with the United States Public Health Services. Applicants should be an exceptional leader who wishes to enhance the college's graduate programs through an exciting period of growth and expansion. The selected candidate will be actively involved in public health policy, education, and community service efforts. The College is seeking a candidate who has a national presence, and fosters multi-institutional and community collaborations. This position will teach; advise and mentor students; and participate in service projects with internal and external community partners that share the college's mission.
The College welcomes applicants interested in working with stakeholders from multidisciplinary health care and academic areas. Desired applicants should have an emphasis in working in the following: public health and government agencies, Veterans Affairs, Indian Health Services, emergency management and disaster preparedness, non-profit organizations, finance and health policy, and health law.
This position promotes public health with an interdisciplinary and comprehensive approach to research and interventions to address health issues.
