The faculty & staff of the University of New Mexico College of Nursing welcome you to a tradition of excellence in research, education and clinical practice. We represent the very best in quality & innovation within an academic environment of biobehavioral, environmental or data science oriented research. Our focus is on building robust programs of research as well as, evidence for effective practice and translating that evidence-based knowledge to practice & policy environments.
We are currently recruiting a tenure track faculty member with research in the areas of Biobehavioral, Environmental Toxicology, or Data Science. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: providing instruction in graduate programs; developing an active, extramurally funded research program that aligns with the College of Nursing and the UNM Health Science Center (HSC); and providing service to the College, University and the profession as deemed appropriate with rank and expertise.
The incoming faculty will teach and maintain an active program of research and/or scholarship. The combination of teaching and scholarly productivity is a fundamental component of a research University. Responsibilities include research/scholarship teaching, mentoring and advising students, student oversight, participation in program activities and committees to ensure stated program goals are achieved.
This position may also participate in service projects with internal and external community partners that share the college's mission. The College welcomes applicants interested in working with stakeholders from multidisciplinary health care and academic areas.
