Position Summary

The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center is seeking an incumbent that will contribute actively to the climate of diversity & inclusivity. We invite applications for an open rank, open track full-time faculty position in Maternal Fetal Medicine. UNM's Maternal Fetal Medicine Division has an established fellowship, has a busy clinical practice, and is active in research and education.

The successful incumbent will be involved with clinical teaching and clinical research at clinics on and off campus. The incumbent hired will be expected to participate in the education of medical students, residents and fellows in the clinic, and classroom. The incumbent will provide care to patients both at the University of New Mexico hospital and offsite clinics.

The successful incumbent must meet the listed minimum requirements, provide a current curriculum vitae at time of application and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities. This position offers a competitive compensation (salary commensurate with experience) and benefits package to include health, professional liability and disability insurance, relocation support, retirement plan, and CME support.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Eligible to work in the United States

M.D. or D.O. degree or equivalent

Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Completion of a Fellowship or advanced training in Maternal Fetal Medicine

Eligible for medical licensure in NM, State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification, and federal DEA registration

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching students and residents

Clinical skills and scholarly activity

Experience working within a managed care environment

Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment

Experience or interest in research activity and career development

A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
