Position Summary

The University of New Mexico School of Medicineand Health Sciences Center is seeking an applicant to fill the role of MaternalFetal Medicine Division Chief. We invite applications for an openrank, open track full-time faculty position who will serve as MaternalFetal Medicine Division Chief. UNM's Maternal Fetal Medicine Division has anestablished fellowship, a busy clinical practice and is active in research andeducation.

The successful applicant will be involved withclinical teaching and clinical research at clinics on and off campus. Theapplicant hired will be expected to participate in the education of medicalstudents, residents and fellows in the clinic, and classroom. The applicantwill provide care to patients both at the University of New Mexico hospital andoffsite clinics. As Division Chief, the applicant will lead the division in allaspects including personnel management and scheduling.

The successful applicant must meet the listed minimumrequirements, provide a current curriculum vitae at time of application and a demonstratedcommitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success, as well asworking with broadly diverse communities. This position offers a competitive compensation (salarycommensurate with experience) and benefits package to include health,professional liability and disability insurance, relocation support, retirementplan, and CME support.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • M.D. or D.O. degree or equivalent
  • Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a sub-specialty Boarded in Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Completion of a Fellowship or advanced training in Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Eligible for medical licensure in NM, State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification, and federal DEA registration

  • Experience working within a managed care environment
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Experience or interest in research activity and career development
