The University ofNew Mexico, School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center is seeking acandidate that will contribute actively to the climate of diversity &inclusivity. We invite applications for a faculty position in the Division of Urogynecology.This is an open rank, open track full-time faculty position in theDepartment of Obstetrics and Gynecology. UNM's Urogynecology Division has anestablished fellowship, has a busy clinical practice, and is active in researchand education. The successful incumbent will be involved with clinical teaching and clinicalresearch at clinics on and off campus. The Division is host of an accreditedFemale Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship, with a primaryobjective to train well-rounded, subspecialist physicians who are experts insurgical anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the pelvic floor. With theguidance and collective experience of our faculty, fellows develop teaching andresearch expertise in pelvic floor disorders to assist in the development ofsuccessful and productive academic careers. The Division of Urogynecology isalso home of a dedicated pessary clinic focused on the care of women withprolapse and incontinence who prefer non-surgical treatment of their pelvicfloor dysfunction. Additionally, the Division of Urogynecology also welcomescreative research opportunities with a team of research coordinators to aid inthese adventures. To fulfill this position, we are seeking a highly motivated,well trained, academic focused physician. The incumbent hired will be expectedto participate in the education and surgical training of medical students,residents and fellows in the clinic, classroom, and operating room, and willprovide additional surgical opportunities for training residents and fellows.
