Position Summary

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking an experienced clinician in Endocrinology at the Associate or Professor Level to serve as Division Chief for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. Successful candidates should have experience with inpatient and outpatient care of a broad spectrum of childhood disorders and patient education. This faculty position includes opportunities for research and teaching at a dynamic well supported academic medical center.

Applicants with a particular interest in diabetes in an ethnically diverse population of the Southwest are urged to apply. Salary and track will be commensurate with training and experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Able to obtain state licensure(s) in the state of New Mexico
  • BC/BE in Pediatrics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with inpatient and outpatient care of a broad spectrum of childhood endocrine disorders.
  • Experience with state-wide outreach programs
  • Experience with professional and patient education, teaching and research
