Position SummaryThe Center for Adult Critical Care is a new org. code, under the SOM Dean's Office. The structure of the Center includes an Operations Specialist. This person will be responsible for the following activities: 1) Organizes and coordinates all courses, conferences, and meetings to ensure compliance with overall the Center's education plans and maintains course documents. 2) Establishes and implements processes and procedures that ensure course programs/projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner and that the product is consistent with initial requirements. 3) Prepares, submits, and maintains credentialing information for physicians and APPs. 4) Collaborates with faculty and other internal/external staff to develop a SharePoint or Smartsheet platform for the Center containing relevant policies and procedures, administrative information, and clinical documents to ensure the implementation and administration of Center objectives. 5) As appropriate to the position, oversees the Continuing Medical Education activities for the Center. 6) Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. This position will report to the Sr. Operations Manager.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred Qualification 1 - knowledge and understanding of UNM/HSC Policy and Procedures
  • Preferred Qualification 2 - Experience with UNM purchasing system (Chrome River, LoboMart) or similar system.
  • Preferred Qualification 3 - Experience in credentialing and privileging for hospital systems, example, UNMH and SRMC.
  • Preferred Qualification 4 - Knowledge of and ability to create and maintain shared content software such as SmartSheets, Teams, or SharePoint.
  • Preferred Qualifications 5 - Knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
