|Position Summary||A postdoctoral position is available in the Hybrid Systemsand Controls Laboratory (http://hscl.unm.edu) towork on a collaborative project funded by the NSF Cyber-Physical Systemsprogram ("Cognitive Autonomy for Human CPS: Turning Novices into Experts"). This five-year project brings togetherresearchers in formal methods, autonomous systems, human factors, andhuman-machine interaction, to develop novel learning and control solutionsautonomous systems to be human-centric. Thepostdoctoral associate will develop theory and algorithms, both data-driven andmodel-based, to enable autonomy that is responsive to the dynamic, humancognitive state. Researchers withinterest and experience in optimization, machine learning, stochastic optimalcontrol, and human cyber-physical systems are encouraged to apply. While based at UNM,the candidate will coordinate and interact either in person or remotely withthe research team at Purdue University, UT Austin, and CU Boulder.|
This is a benefits-eligible, one-yearappointment that may be renewed for an additional year contingent uponsatisfactory performance and availability of resources. No teaching isexpected during the appointment. Salary is dependent upon experience and qualification.
