Position Summary | The School of Public Administration (SPA) at the University of New Mexico invites applications for a half-time (50% FTE), 9-month appointment at the rank of Professor of Practice to begin August 1, 2025. The School of Public Administration (SPA) seeks candidates who can teach courses in two or more of the following areas: nonprofit management, intergovernmental relations, tribal administration, and public service leadership. In addition, the successful candidate will lead the required MPA and Minor in Public Service practicums, and support the Performance Academy, a budding executive level program for senior level government employees. All Professor of Practice instructors are reviewed annually. Workload is determined by the School of Public Administration (SPA) Director and University policies. The typical teaching load of a .50 FTE is 3 courses a year.
