PositionSummary:

The University Of NewMexico College Of Nursing (CON) is seeking a Program Coordinator for ClinicalPlacements that is goal-oriented, resourceful, and self-motivated. The ProgramCoordinator will support the clinical placement needs of nursing learners. Thisposition is essential to helping advance the CON’s mission of improving accessto healthcare for all New Mexicans. The role requires strong organizational andcommunication skills for clinical placements, internal and external outreach tocommunity partners and data analysis and reporting. Must be detail orientatedand have the ability to maintain confidentiality while working closely withstudents, faculty and community clinical partners.

Primary Responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Maintain studentfiles, clinical evaluations, professional documentation, and other pertinent
    clinical documentsfor all student cohorts including immunization records and necessarycertifications
  • Communicate andcollaborate with faculty, staff, students, and community partners in-person, via email and phone; ensuring timelyresponses
  • Plan and coordinate student and faculty credentialing forclinical sites
  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Working in a health-related and/or academic environment.
  • Credentialing students and/or confidential record tracking
  • Working with credentialing software and/or databases
  • Working with Microsoft 365 suite and Adobe
  • High volume, fast paced customer service environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
