Position Summary | The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is a multi-division department within the UNM School of Medicine. We provide excellent, innovative education to residents, medical students, and health professionals; the highest quality mental health care to the citizens of New Mexico; and pursue outstanding multidisciplinary research that helps solve important health problems. The UNM Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Community Behavioral Health (CBH) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team. The mission of CBH is to address health care disparities through: health services research and evaluation; capacity building; training and workforce development; and through increasing access to quality behavioral health services that are holistic, cost-effective and provided with respect to the unique cultures and communities. CBH is seeking a Program Coordinator to coordinate a project aimed at addressing health disparities across New Mexico. Duties include: assisting with project coordination, implementation and logistics, including contract development, budget monitoring, reporting and deadline adherence; coordinate training logistics, to include manual preparation, site location research, attendance and training support; guide lower level staff; manage complex scheduling; develop data collection tools, policies and procedures, as needed; provide daily support to project faculty, staff and partners; build positive relationships with external agencies and stakeholders; assist with continuing education, billing and activity reporting. This position will work closely with the project PI, clinical and non-clinical partners; and will assist with training and meeting facilitation. This position will require limited travel within New Mexico. The qualified candidate should have in-depth knowledge of and experience with: project coordination and logistics; familiarity with behavioral health issues and human services-related programs; familiarity with substance abuse related issues; culturally competent and able to work across diverse communities; outreach and implementation; establishing and maintaining positive community relationships; scheduling meetings and events; and fiscal and administrative functions. The desired candidate for this high-energy position is customer service-oriented; efficient; and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This is a term, full-time, benefits eligible position. This position will require limited travel within New Mexico. We may hire multiple people for this position. |

Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
