Position Summary

The Developmental Care Program, has an excitingopportunity for a full-time Program Coordinator to join our team. We are a multidisciplinary team with anexpertise in NICU developmental care and in the sequalae of medical diagnosesas they pertain to developmental outcomes for babies born preterm. Our teamhelps set the stage for how parents begin their parenting roles that can last alifetime and we have a specialized focus on the family as the current andfuture "growers" and "nurturers" of the infants in our unit. Our practices areconsistent with current evidence based knowledge and we have an interest inpursuing research opportunities and activities that will continue to promotebest practices in this field. We receive funding through the NM DOH FamilyInfant Toddler program to identify, enroll and provide early interventionservices.

The successful Program Coordinator will:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations as they relate to NM FITbilling, data entry/management, quality assurance, data auditing and datareporting.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with NMDept. of Health FIT Program in matters related to NM KIDS database functions.
  • Create caseload tracking reports for requiredEarly Intervention activities to ensure timely completion of services andtimely billing.
  • Prepare data reports for Department ofHealth quarterly and annual program performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with Program Director and the Director of EIServices to develop and implement procedures as they relate to direct servicebilling.
  • Audit and analyze client records to assure thatthe program complies with regulations.
  • Oversee the monthly billing process in collaboration with the ProgramDirector, Director of EI services and the Neonatology Program Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, high level of organizational and coordination skills
  • Experience working in a position with a diverse group of clinical and managerial staff and clinical community partners
  • Ability to share projects and work effectively with a team of administrative and clinical staff
  • Experience and familiarity of diverse communities including those of individuals with developmental disabilities, communities in need, and high-risk families
  • Experience working in a related field serving diverse and challenging clients
  • Ability to be flexible while staying professional and positive in a changing environment.
