Position Summary

Program Operations Director (Retention, Pathways & Learning Supports)
Reporting to the Dean of Academic Affairs, the Program Operations Director, will support the University of New Mexico-Taos by providing advanced leadership and direction with the collaboration and implementation of various initiatives to include but not limited to persistence, retention and graduation, the development and support of student academic and career pathways, to include the direct supervision of learning supports such as the Center for Academic Success and Achievement (CASA), the Accessibility Resource Center at CASA, the Taos Education and Career Center (TECC), and various defined sponsored projects. This position will be directly involved with facilitating necessary collaborations with integrated programs consisting of a set of interconnected component activities, and/or a group of associated, separately funded programs to support entry and integration of students to UNM-Taos through the current pathways to include dual enrollment, high school equivalency (HSE), integrated education models (IET), and college and career readiness to include developmental education supports. The programs/projects administered will be focused on an associated set of complementary objectives within the overall mission of the University of New Mexico-Taos.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified,

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing and supervising various staff supporting complex initiatives
Experience implementing and supporting of retention initiatives and high impact practices
Experience developing specific programming supports for target populations
Advanced knowledge and demonstration utilizing data-driven programming to support persistence, retention, and graduation
Experience managing staff providing learning support structures i.e. tutoring, supplemental instruction, small group and one-on-one tutoring
Experience with managing grants/sponsored projects
Bilingual-English and Spanish
Master’s Degree
