The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is preparing for thecompletion of the new state-of-the art Physics and Astronomy InterdisciplinaryScience (PAIS) facility. The new PAIS building will accommodate modern researchlabs and classrooms and enhance student achievement and retention in the STEMprograms. PAIS will also house the Interdisciplinary Science Cooperative (ISCo-Op), which is comprised of all of the Interdisciplinary Science (IS) Centersand Core Laboratories under CAS.
The general mission of the IS Co-Op is two-fold: To provideadministrative and logistical support to IS Centers and Core Laboratories inthe PAÍS facility, and to identify and pursue funding and outreachopportunities that will enable IS Centers and Core Laboratories to collaborateon interdisciplinary science research projects that build on and extend theresearch projects being pursued by individual principal investigators, centersand labs.
The Program Planning Manager coordinates and overseesstrategic opportunities that advance the overall goals and mission of the ISCo-Op. This position works closely with the IS Co-Op Coordinator to develop andimplement program strategies to build support for the IS Co-Op. This inlcudesseeking and applying for outside funding sources, cultivating relationshipswith key stakeholders and executing strategic events. This position isresponsible for coordinating and developing external, internal and stakeholderadvisory board meetings as well as organizing resources and interpreting datato evaluate goals and objectives for the unit.
|Conditions of Employment|
Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Experience and Knowledge in the Following:
--Participate in Strategic planning, and manage and coordinate the development and implementation of special projects to build support for the unit.
--Gather and interpret data to evaluate program development.
--Seek outside funding support/Writing and editing fundraising proposals in support of the unit.
--Coordinate and develop advisory board meetings.
--Plan and coordinate special events; develop and manage event budgets.
--Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate donors and sponsors for events.
--Develop and maintain website; develop and produce marketing and communication materials.
