UNM Financial Services Division is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter, with a strong technical and functional background. The selected candidate must be able to demonstrate proficiency in business analysis and reporting.Experience in payroll and/or accounting systems is also desired.This individual would work closely with subject matter experts and technical resources in Payroll and Finance Systems Management to provide operational and technical support for Payroll including, but not limited to, monthly/biweekly payroll processing, pay adjustments, ERB feeds, batch job processing/error handling, and reporting.To ensure that essential services are provided to the University community, the employee may occasionally be required to work outside his/her regular working hours and on some university holidays.
Primary Responsibilities of this position:
Support Payroll, Benefits, HR projects and implementations such as and not limited to:
Kronos interface upgrade
TIAA Roth implementation
Banner Time Entry project
ERB Fiscal Year compliance changes
Faculty Unionization implementation
Data analysis and production support for the Ellucian Banner Payroll application
Technical support and maintenance of ERB applications
Rewrites of MS Access / Visual Basic applications to web-based solutions
Reports development using IBI WebFOCUS enterprise reporting tools, including data validation, documentation, training materials and conducting end-user training
Support and enhance Payroll adjustments data portal developed using IBI Webfocus, jQuery & HighCharts
Responsible for Banner Finance & Payroll ODS (Operational Data Store) upgrades and customizations
Assisting in testing efforts for upgrades affecting Payrollsystems; Web Servers; Application Servers; and Database Servers
Maintaining and enhancing Business Intelligence Reporting; dimensional data models; OLAP interfaces and Dashboards

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Experience in Oracle Apex
IBI WebFOCUS or similar Enterprise reporting tools such as Cognos, OBIEE or Business Objects
Working with Ellucian Banner ODS, IA Admin, Appworx (UC4) batch job scheduling and Oracle ODI or similar ETL tools
Prior experience working as a Business analyst or Financial analyst
Fluent in SQL and PL/SQL
Current knowledge of database management tools, such as Toad
Knowledge of ITIL v3 compliant ITSM tools such as Livetime
Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete large projects successfully
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to work as a team player
Excellent communications skills, with the ability to work with business users as well as other members of the technical staff
Strong functional knowledge of accounting systems
Proven communication and listening skills
Brings a sense of curiosity to business processes and identifies unique opportunities for improvements
