Position Summary | This is a Term position. Term end date is one year from date of hire; renewable based on funding availability. The Center for Advanced Research Computing is the hub of computational research at UNM and one of the largest computing centers in the State of New Mexico. It is an interdisciplinary community that uses computational resources to create new research insights. The goal is to lead and grow the computational research community at UNM. Under faculty supervision, plan, coordinate, engineer, andimplement research software for high performance scientific computing,including but not limited to (1) benchmarks or applications based onleading-edge numerical methods, (2) frameworks and abstractions to facilitatethe implementation of leading-edge numerical methods, and (3) softwareengineering methods to facilitate maintenance and testing of research software.This includes using scientific and software engineering expertise to design,implement, debug, measure, and analyze the scientific research software.
