|Working Title||Safety Specialist|
Under general supervision, assists in monitoring and coordinating general campus safety program, including safety inspections, accident investigations, and safety training.
|Conditions of Employment|
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
1. Skill in performing safety inspections ensuring compliance with OSHA and NFPA safety standards.
2. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
3. Skill in performing safety inspections and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards.
4. Knowledge of radiation safety procedures, standards, and protocols, and/or procedures.
5. Laser Safety trained.
6. Strong chemistry or chemical safety background.
7. IACUC Experience.
